Matt left to pursue a career in accounting and the site was abandoned as Greg the owner on Arnie's Trains didn't have time to work on the website with his train store growing. In late 2007 Matt returned to Arnie's Trains after deciding that being a desk jockey was not his thing. With the site still being under Arnie's Trains, Matt decided to bring it back with a full re-model, making it better then ever. Lioneltrack.com opened in May 2009 using the latest and most secure shopping cart software available. Lionel had more track out there, and more customers asking for a complete track line that would be easy to use.
